Promoting Michigan's Thumb !
ThumbPrint News is a new brand of newspaper, based out of Clay Township, Michigan,  that is distributed free of charge throughout the Thumb area. Sixty thousand copies are distributed monthly.  The purpose of the newspaper is to focus on places of interest in the Thumb of Michigan and people and businesses at work and at play in this area.  Many articles are human interest stories, articles pertaining to events in the area, hobby related articles, as well as articles of interest to a wide section of the population in this area.

We invite local businesses to advertise in ThumbPrint News and monthly feature articles written by local businesses and local writers on a wide variety of topics.  Advertisers wishing to advertise, please click on the link above.  Our rates are the same for black and white or full-color!
Persons or businesses who would like to write an article either on a one-time basis, occasionally, or on a regular basis are encouraged to submit articles to thumbprintnews@comcast.net.  There is no monetary compensation for the article.  Articles should not promote a business or product.  However, credit will be given at the end of the article to the person and/or business (with contact information) that submitted the article.  Articles promoting a business or product may be purchased using the standard ad rates for a similar amount of space in the newspaper.

ThumbPrint News began distribution on October 1 of 2009.  It is distributed free of charge to select homes and to over 400 businesses in the Thumb area. The paper's readership has increased to 160,000 persons! The Thumbprint is published monthly, with long term plans to be published every two weeks.  We are also looking to list community events for each of the following counties on a monthly basis:  St. Clair, Oakland, Macomb, Genesee, Sanilac, Huron, Tuscola and Lapeer and would appreciate any and all submissions.  We are inviting schools, clubs and organizations, charities and non-profit organizations to contact us when you have an interesting story or event for our reporters to photograph and to arrange an interview about.  The more lead time you can give us the better.  Normally, articles, events and advertisements must reach us by the 10th of the month to be included in the following month's issue. For a list of some types of articles we are interested in receiving, please click the submissions link above.

Our editor reserves the right to edit all articles submitted for clarity and length and to choose which articles will appear in ThumbPrint News and in which edition.  All articles, submission of events, suggestions for stories, etc. should be submitted to ThumbPrintNews@comcast.net.  You may also contact the editor, Diane Kodet, at (810) 794-2300.  If you are not receiving ThumbPrint News directly at your home or business and would like a copy, please click on the drop location button below to find out where you can pick up a copy near you.  Limited copies are placed in these locations.  If you are unable to obtain a copy and would like one mailed directly to you, please send your request to ThumbPrint News, 8061 Marsh Rd., Clay Township, Michigan, 48001 and enclose a check for $2.00 to cover the cost of handling and postage.
